{"id":13749,"date":"2019-09-08T04:22:39","date_gmt":"2019-09-08T04:22:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ci02819f3bb0032458"},"modified":"2025-03-03T07:51:54","modified_gmt":"2025-03-03T07:51:54","slug":"man-drowns-to-death-in-lake-norman-body-in-water-hasn-t-been-found","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tender-hodgkin.62-151-180-206.plesk.page\/index.php\/2019\/09\/08\/man-drowns-to-death-in-lake-norman-body-in-water-hasn-t-been-found\/","title":{"rendered":"MAN DROWNS TO DEATH IN LAKE NORMAN, BODY IN WATER HASN&#8217;T BEEN FOUND"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A 22-year-old man drowned in Lake Norman on September 7, 2019 in the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officers with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission said the man was on a rental boat with 10 other people when he jumped off in Mooresville, NC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The man was wearing a life jacket, but it came off when he jumped in the water and that&#8217;s when he drowned, according to officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Charlotte Fire Department dive team, helicopters, and sonar were used to search for the man for nearly five hours, but the search was suspended by 9 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;The life jacket was put on but probably not adjusted tight enough so that\u2019s why it slipped off when he jumped in the water.
