{"id":13540,"date":"2019-10-02T06:18:51","date_gmt":"2019-10-02T06:18:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ci02819f3ab0042458"},"modified":"2025-03-03T09:57:29","modified_gmt":"2025-03-03T09:57:29","slug":"officers-get-shot-at-in-south-charlotte-two-teenagers-charged","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tender-hodgkin.62-151-180-206.plesk.page\/index.php\/2019\/10\/02\/officers-get-shot-at-in-south-charlotte-two-teenagers-charged\/","title":{"rendered":"OFFICERS GET SHOT AT IN SOUTH CHARLOTTE, TWO TEENAGERS CHARGED"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chris\u2019Tavious Caldwell, 18, and Jamari Young, 18, were both arrested, charged with shooting at two police officers in Charlotte, NC at night time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On September 29, 2019 at around 11:30 p.m., two Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers responded to a residence located near Hatton Cross Drive.&nbsp;When the officers arrived, they began investigating an incident where multiple individuals used rocks to break windows to a nearby residence.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through the course of the investigation, it was determined an adult female resident exited the residence and fired a handgun multiple times at the suspects. This incident was determined to stem from an on-going dispute over a designer belt. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the officers were investigating the aforementioned incident and standing near one of the two marked patrol vehicles parked in the street, a suspect began shooting several shots at them.&nbsp;The officers moved to a position of cover while the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The officers reportedly did not return fire.&nbsp;Evidence of this incident consisted of one home struck by gunfire and spent shell casings.
