{"id":10669,"date":"2021-04-03T00:14:21","date_gmt":"2021-04-03T00:14:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ci02819f3b700d2458"},"modified":"2025-02-24T06:00:09","modified_gmt":"2025-02-24T06:00:09","slug":"fired-walmart-employee-plows-through-walmart-with-car-on-good-friday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tender-hodgkin.62-151-180-206.plesk.page\/index.php\/2021\/04\/03\/fired-walmart-employee-plows-through-walmart-with-car-on-good-friday\/","title":{"rendered":"FIRED WALMART EMPLOYEE PLOWS THROUGH WALMART WITH CAR ON GOOD FRIDAY"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>32-year-old Lacy Gentry drove his vehicle into the Wal-Mart located at 5825 Thunder Road Concord, NC on Good Friday, April 2, 2021 at approximately 5:59 a.m. This was clearly not a good Friday for Walmart. Lacy was recently fired from Walmart and then all hell broke loose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lacy retaliated by driving his car right through the glass doors of Walmart. Now he is without a job and in jail.\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/t_share\/MTgwNjAwNTE1NDM3NDcxMDgw\/image-placeholder-title.jpg\" alt=\"Image placeholder title\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bOfficers responded to a 911 call stating that Lacy had driven a vehicle through the front entrance of the Wal-Mart and had continued to drive the vehicle inside the store. Upon arriving on scene, officers found Lacy operating a vehicle inside of the store causing substantial damage and endangering others.\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/t_share\/MTgwNjAwNTE1NDMzMDE0NjMy\/image-placeholder-title.jpg\" alt=\"Image placeholder title\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bEventually, officers were able to get Lacy to stop the vehicle and placed him into custody. At this point in the investigation, it has only been determined that Lacy was a former employee of Wal-Mart. The store and merchandise suffered considerable damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lacy has been charged with two felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon on a government official, felony breaking and entering, two misdemeanor counts of assault with a deadly weapon, and other charges relating to the damage of property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other warrants were served on Lacy that were outstanding prior to this incident.
