Upon entering the bank, Mario approached a bank teller and told her \u201cthis is a robbery bitch I have a gun.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The teller handed&nbsp;Mario&nbsp;$1,700 from the cash drawer and&nbsp;Mario&nbsp;fled the scene. Five days later on March 23, 2020,&nbsp;Mario&nbsp;robbed the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 301 South Tryon Street in Charlotte.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mario&nbsp;entered the bank and waited in line for a teller. Once he arrived at the teller\u2019s window, he demanded money and told the teller \u201cGive me all your money, or I\u2019ll blow your head off.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/robbery\/video-shows-wells-fargo-bank-robbery-100-000-gone-in-less-than-60-seconds\">Watch this video of a&nbsp;Wells Fargo bank robbery, 2 suspects got away with $100,000 cash, unrelated to this story.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The teller complied and&nbsp;Mario&nbsp;left the bank with $4,650 in cash. Law enforcement identified&nbsp;Mario&nbsp;based on surveillance video from the banks. He was arrested on March 31, 2020.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mario&nbsp;has twice previously been convicted of federal bank robbery charges and served two separate federal prison terms for those convictions.  When&nbsp;Mario&nbsp;committed the two robberies in March 2020, he was on federal supervised release for his most recent federal bank robbery conviction.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On August 17, 2020,&nbsp;Mario&nbsp;pleaded guilty to two counts of bank robbery.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/news\/ex-wells-fargo-bank-employee-accused-of-stealing-88-000-from-the-vault\">A Wells Fargo employee stole more than $88,000 from the vault and bought a 2019 Mercedes Benz.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Desperate for cash, he got $4,650 from Wells Fargo and $1,700 in another robbery.
