The shooting was on May 8, 2021 on Kentucky Avenue Charlotte, NC.<\/p>\n<p>At 1:50 a.m. there was a shooting reported to 911 emergency. Officers responded and encountered a male suspect armed with a rifle standing near a female victim that had been shot.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The woman was on the ground bleeding, badly injured from the shooting.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The male suspect fled on foot into a nearby residence, and officers moved the victim to a safe location so she could be treated for a serious, but non-life-threatening gunshot wound.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital while officers worked to contain the residence and secure the area.
