Tracey Witherspoon, 18, is charged with murdering 16-year-old Jeremiah Woodard-Pegues on Allen Street Charlotte, NC. Tracey was arrested on May 14, 2021.<\/p>\n

Jeremiah was shot and killed on May 13, 2021 on Allen St. late at night.<\/p>\n

While investigating the homicide, officers observed a vehicle in the area and learned the vehicle was stolen. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the driver refused to stop and fled from the officers. <\/p>\n

Officers did not engage in a vehicle pursuit; however, the police helicopter followed the vehicle and directed officers to where its occupants had jumped and ran from the vehicle. <\/p>\n

Officers quickly apprehended the vehicle’s occupants, who were then interviewed by detectives. <\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the interviews, Tracey was charged with murder, possession of a stolen vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.<\/p>\n
