Malikah is accused of murdering her daughter Mejelic and then burying her in the ground.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTgxMzEyNzI2MjI2NzA4NDI3\/123k7mnbll.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>Malikah&nbsp;was arrested on May 21, 2021 and charged with murdering Mejelic. The 4-year-old girl was missing since September 2020. All the while, Malikah was posting on social media and acting as if she didn&#8217;t know where Mejelic was.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But, family members and friends grew ever more suspicious, so they issued their concerns to police. After search warrants were processed, authorities went to a home on Braden Drive Charlotte, NC and used&nbsp;cadaver dogs to find any scent of dead bodies.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/charlottealerts\/news\/mother-arrested-charged-with-killing-missing-daughter-was-arrested-in-2020-too\">The dogs alerted to the scent of a dead body in the back yard. Authorities used shovels and digging equipment to dig until they found Mejelic&#8217;s badly decomposed body buried in the ground.<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On the same day Mejelic&#8217;s dead body was found, her mother Malikah was arrested and charged with murder,&nbsp;felony child abuse, inflicting physical injury, and felony concealing a death.<\/p>\n<p>Several days later on May 27th Tammy was arrested and charged with concealing a death and accessory after the fact. It is not known at the moment how the two suspects are related.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Malikah split custody over Mejelic with the child&#8217;s father. Mejelic&#8217;s father has been cleared of any wrong doing. The father raised several concerns to authorities over the disappearance of Mejelic before she was found dead.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another woman has been charged in the case where a mother is accused of murdering her own daughter.
