The dead worker is&nbsp;59-year-old Charles \u201cChuck\u201d Kennedy.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTgxNjQyNzA2NDE2NTc2MjY5\/3-trukkll-blu.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>The SC-DOT crew was on the way to a work site when another vehicle crossed the center line and collided head on with Charles and the other SC-DOT employees.<\/p>\n<p>The collision killed Charles.<\/p>\n<p>Charles had been employed by SC-DOT since February of 2020. Two other members of the crew in the vehicle were injured and transported to a local hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Charles leaves behind his wife, a son, a daughter, and a number of grandchildren.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Charles was an avid fisherman, and a racing fan.
