On June 22, 2021&nbsp;Emerson&nbsp;died at the Mecklenburg County Jail in Charlotte, NC.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTgxOTM5MTIzMDQ3NjM4MTQ3\/0-mecklenburg-solitary-cell.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/charlottealertsnews.com\/charlottealerts\/news\/jail-inmate-hangs-himself-inside-jail-cell\">41-year old jail inmate John Haley hung himself with blankets to the point of death on May 22, 2021.<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Emerson&nbsp;was found unresponsive in his cell in the afternoon on June 22nd. First responders were called to the detention center and performed CPR.&nbsp;Emerson&nbsp;was transported to Atrium Health and pronounced&nbsp;deceased within the hour of being found unresponsive.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Emerson&nbsp;was arrested on&nbsp;June 21, 2021 and booked into the jail.
