The parents of the baby were arrested on June 25, 2021. Brady Wearn, 18, and Mary Bedenbaugh, 17, are the parents of the baby.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTgxOTc2MzIwNDE3MjExNTIz\/1untitkled.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>Brady and Mary were&nbsp;both&nbsp;charged with homicide by child abuse and unlawful conduct toward a child. The baby died on May 2, 2021. The investigation took over a month for the parents to be charged.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On May 2nd deputies responded to a residence where a 4-month-old child was found unresponsive and not breathing. The baby was taken to an area hospital and was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>According to toxicology reports, a measurable amount of cocaine was in the baby&#8217;s system, there was also cocaine on the baby\u2019s feeding bottles.
